simplus
I got: 1) Seneca 2) Gaius Marius 3) Marcus Aurelius 4) Iulius Caesar All very admirable people - in different ways. Although... I have absolutely no interest in war, warfare or the military... how did I get Gaius Marius in there? However, I think the common thread here is "control freaks". And, like Legionary, I had no idea who Seneca was (thanks for the link, primuspilus). I would have liked Octavian/Augustus to be higher on my list, though - only #9. Thanks to Ursus. roman wargamer
i like Marius very much , very organizationally structured. and the cunning Julius Caesar for his razor sharp decision. how about Octavian who secured the Caesar Legacy. dianamt54
Number 1 was Sulla, I didn't think I was that crazy?? Julius Caesar was 6th, the Gracchi are 22, Gauis Marius was 11. Those are a few of my favorites!
M. Porcius Cato
1. Scipio Africanus, 2. Seneca, 3. Horace, and 4. Cato the Elder.
Horatius
1.Marcus Aurelius 2.Q. Horatius Flaccus 3.Seneca Kind of fun:) Weird that a Horatius came up there lol Not the one I took the name from but I'll take it. Even stranger is the phrase "Brevis esse laboro, obscurus fio" has been one of my favorites since I was reading Latin in high school. caldrail
Well... I got... 1 - Marcus Aurelius 2 - Paulus 3 - Scipio Africanus 4 - Seneca 5 - Nero Rock on babe. I'm an intellectual party animal. Trajan was lower in the list so definitely I like conquering Dacia, not to mention staging entertainment for four months (yep, thats me...). On the other hand, so is General Varus... Ouch, thats worrying....
Nephele
Yes, and #3 means you drool and stutter Claudius was my #1, and I take it to mean that no one really knows what the hell I'm thinking. #1 Claudius #2 L. Silvanius Florus (?) #3 Scipio Africanus #4 Cato Maior #5 Gaius Marius #6 Marcus Aurelius #7 Martialis (aw right!) #8 Seneca #9 Augustus #10 General Varus -- Nephele
Northern Neil
I was Q.Horatius Flaccus, followed by Hadrian. I'll write an ode to that...
Kosmo
1. Domitianus 2. Sertorius 3. Cato Major The fact that I dislike all of them (but I admit that Domitian had an udeserved bad press) means that I hate myself? BTW I see no connection between those 3.
