Ursus
What do you think was Rome's single greatest contribution to Western history?
Viggen
Difficult as the romans contributed allot, i would say language and legal system should be on top of the list...
Ursus
I guess I should answer my own question. To me it was preserving Hellenic civilization, and gradually refining it in such a way that it made it more accessible to what would become Western Europe. Maximus Caesar
As for me, there is no greatest contribution. They all did well, especially in the way their Legions fought. I admire them for that. But to be honest, I think they did well in law and political organization. :sniper:
Primus Pilus
Without going into great depth, I would cast a vote for language and political/legal structure.
P.Clodius
I agree with the above statements but would like to a drive, or the can do attitude. It was this more than anything that drove the above to the point at which we know it.
