ASCLEPIADES
Aphrodite! (I finally got one!) Here's my entry: Oooh! Who do I see? The fairest lad of all, to me There is not a prettier face Closer to the pond, to embrace That fairest visage looking back at me! Indeed it is, Lady Magistra. Are you Narcissus? docoflove1974
Yep...hmmmmmm...let me think of another. Capricious and mischievous, up in the sky I spy two people oblivious to the feelings they hide. Dip an arrow in love, Then let it fly through the air, and let Mum do the rest With her usual style anf flair!

Nephele
Yep yep! (Hey, I'm actually getting the hang of this poetry thing...well, maybe not lol) Y'all are doing great! You should create content blocks in your UNRV blog for your Mythteries verse. -- Nephele

ASCLEPIADES
"QUEEN and huntress, chaste and fair, Now the sun is laid to sleep, Seated in thy silver chair, State in wonted manner keep: Hesperus entreats thy light, Goddess excellently bright. Come then you lads and lasses, sing In her honour now a hymn. Daughter-goddess of mighty Jove And lovely Queen Latona, who By Delia placed an olive tree"

That's not a "game rule" or anything -- it's just that credit should be given where credit is due. -- Nephele

Whoever guesses the riddle correctly, gets to pose the next rhyming riddle". I just didn't pick the originality clause. None of the rhyming couplets posted by me on this thread is from my own; I'm a lover, not a poet. BTW, Ben Johnson's is just the first half; the second is from Catullus. Nephele
BTW, Ben Johnson's is just the first half; the second is from Catullus. The first half (Ben Jonson's) is easily recognizable by those who may have majored in English literature in college. You are the goddess Artemis/Diana, of course. -- Nephele

Nephele
I'm giving my turn to The Augusta, who has PM'ed me to tell me that she is working on a riddle now. So... Next turn is reserved for The Augusta. -- Nephele
