Normally I would use the inter-library loan facilities, but at present these are running c.6 months in arrears, so if I ordered now I might get it in April next year! I know this might be giving the game away, but here goes: E. Burrell, 'A re-examination of why Stilicho abandoned his pursuit of Alaric in 397', Historia 53 (2004) 251-6.
