Roman soldiers with equipment

Recommended Posts

It's in German but it shows examples of Roman soldiers with equipment throughout the imperial period (not finished yet). You can click on a soldier on the time line at the top of the page. On the left you see 2 points: Kampf (meaning combat gear) and Dienst (meaning clothing for daily duties) I like the 75AD one the most with 0AD in close second.

Five nice examples from the first century AD and five more from up to the fifth century at the German reenactment webpage of the Legio VIII Avgvsta (Germania Superior).

My only complain would be that the republican period was not included.

Danke sch
