docoflove1974
I'm going to say that the Wings will take it in 6. It's going to be a tough series, but Detroit is just too physical. *ahem* Congrats to the Wings...that was a helluva series. And what a finish! Gaius Paulinus Maximus
I'm going to say that the Wings will take it in 6. It's going to be a tough series, but Detroit is just too physical. *ahem* Congrats to the Wings...that was a helluva series. And what a finish! Nice prediction Doc! Congrats to the Red Wings (aka Team Sweden), they were just to strong for the Penguins in the end, the best team won. Zetterburg got the Conn Smythe trophy as well and again thoroughly deserved. I think the Penguins will be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years but I think the Leafs will push them all the way (Yeah right!!!) Gaius Paulinus Maximus
Just a quick question about the NHL draft. How does the drafting system work? Who and how is it decided which teams get the first pick?
Gaius Paulinus Maximus
THE STANLEY CUP 2009 Well it's that time of year again!!! Who's going to take the Stanley Cup home this year????? Will the Red Wings do it again or will we have new champions??? I'm going to put my money on the Bruins this year, although they've got one of the toughest 1st rounds against Montreal. I think they've got enough quality to progress, with the best defence in the NHL I think they'll be hard to beat. San Jose and Detroit will also be in the running and I think the Blackhawks could well be the dark horses for the cup! My predictions................. Eastern Conference Bruins V Canadiens...............Bruins Capitals V Rangers...............Capitals Devils V Hurricanes...............Devils Penguins V Flyers.................Penguins Western Conference Sharks V Ducks....................Sharks Wings V Jackets...................Wings Cannucks V Blues..................Blues Blackhawks V Flames.............Blackhawks What do you guy's think??? Maty
Sorry Paulinus ... it's going to be Canada's turn this year. I've a small bet on the Canucks. We'll know more after the game on Friday.

We'll know more after the game on Friday. Well good luck with your bet Maty, I fear you're going to need it!!! Although I think the Bruins will win it I've also had a small bet, but on the Blackhawks instead, much better odds than the Bruins.

docoflove1974
SHARKS! SHARKS! SHARKS! SHARKS! (Ok, so we got the worst possible first round matchup in Anaheim...we SHOULD win...if not, I say Detroit.)
Viggen
Those 10 games Thomas Vanek couldnt play because of a fractured jaw (yeah i I curse you Anton Volchenkov, may all your teeth fall out but one and that one shall rot) made the Buffalos not getting to the Playoffs, next year it will be though... ...this year, will be Red Wings, like eh always?
