The Augusta
Ooooh now Augusta... show us the metal of your sword then... What did Augustus say to Claudius when he realised his 'play acting' was not for real during their friendly little chat? Word for word now mind Augusta... you know the script!! (And no cheating by searching the scenes!!!!!!!) Take your time now...... no hurry.... My dear Augustus, I have only just seen this post of yours! Thanks go to our dear Claudia Octavia for reviving the thread... However, as to the answer, I saw that you posted it later on. However... you left much of the scene out OK - trivia for Claudia, Drusus and anyone else: (Hehe a trivia thread may be a good idea for the Baths: 'Claudius', 'Rome', 'Quo bloody Vadis' - whatever you like. And it doesn't just have to be TV/movies) Identify these speakers and the scene. I won't make it easy.... "And what if he refuses?" "Well I should see that he doesn't if I were you. Appeal to his sense of honour. Men find that irresistible."

But it's only an educated guess. Cheers and good lucK.

This is the VI epidode of the series, "Some Justice", anf Livia is talking with Plancina, Piso's wife, so she can get her husband to commit suicide in order to avoid the consequences of Germanicus' death for both women. Augustus Caesar
Aaaaawwwwwwwww!!!! My dear Augusta... I too have missed this post of yours with your question! Just as you did mine. The answer? Yes, I did know it! Honestly!! Here's one for you all... Who said the following? Who was being addressed? What episode was it in? "... the man who dwells by the pools shall look into graves, and the dead shall live again." Finally, what was actually significant about that line being included? "... the man who dwells by the pools shall look into graves, and the dead shall live again." Finally, what was actually significant about that line being included? Salve, AC. The aforementioned quote comes from the 13th and last episode of the series, "Old King Log". It was a remark of Claudius during his last speech to the Senate. This prophecy was included by the scriptwriter as a pun on Robert Graves.
Augustus Caesar
Very good old bean!! A gladius is winging your way now as your prize... "Oooops!!" Sorry 'bout that! OK... another one... "Nobody can talk to you anymore." "Anyone can talk to me." "No they can't." "Anyone can talk to me anytime. Except you. You don't talk to people, you bully them!" Who to who and where are they? And what is one of them doing while the other sits?

The Augusta
Asclepiades - either you are as mad as me, or you've been watching the DVDs constantly Right, mate - I'll get ya! What colour loin cloth is Augustus wearing at the Games in 23BC... (No - that one was a joke - honest! ) But chew over this one for a while: What scene begins with: "Well, well, well...what have we here - tourists?" And give me the actor's name (not the character's)
Nephele
What scene begins with: "Well, well, well...what have we here - tourists?" And give me the actor's name (not the character's) Ha, that's easy. That would be John Castle in the role of Postumus Agrippa. This is the scene where Augustus comes to visit the exiled Postumus, to apologize and let Postumus know that Augustus is now aware of what had been going down and that things are about to change. John Castle isn't too poofy, as British actors go, although he does cry like a girl, a bit, in that scene. -- Nephele
Drusus Nero
Very good old bean!! A gladius is winging your way now as your prize... "Oooops!!" Sorry 'bout that! OK... another one... "Nobody can talk to you anymore." "Anyone can talk to me." "No they can't." "Anyone can talk to me anytime. Except you. You don't talk to people, you bully them!" Who to who and where are they? And what is one of them doing while the other sits? I seem to recall Augustus wasn't so much pruning the roses as slaughtering them . OK - name the character, scene and actor: "I am sorry to have been the cause of that unpleasantness" Salve, guys and Ladies. It would be Mr. Christopher Biggins as Nero in the XIIIth and last episode "Old King log", where he is giving a fake apology for being the "involuntary" cause of the abusive Claudius' reprehension of Britannicus for addressing Nero as "Lucius Domitius", therefore ignoring his recent adoption by the Emperor. Cheers!
The Augusta
Right Asclepiades - I've had just about enough of you... You have 2 minutes - without looking at the DVDs to give me Livia's first word in the entire series! (Hehe - this is fun!)
