Indibilis and Mandonius, who had escaped with some light troops, threw themselves on Scipio's mercy. Scipio granted the Iberians security, and demanded no hostages. I have no clear idea why these guys kept getting a 'free pass' when they stirred up trouble. Were they not present and on the Carthaginian side when Scipio's father & uncle were killed?!?! My guess is since they were from a tribe in the north east of the penninsula, close to the furture road to Rome, Scipio new he had to keep them happy or securing the rest of the penninsula would be in vain...
