Bryaxis Hecatee
No, but this city is indeed in the Near East
Maladict
It's Apamea.
Bryaxis Hecatee
Yes, it is the main avenue of Apamea in Syria, dug by an international team including ULB's Centre de Recherche Arch

Maladict
Is the city underwater? -- Nephele No help until I've seen some guesses
Klingan
Hmm, no more specific guesses from me then that it seems like a somewhere in the northern parts of the empire, Gaul or Britannia, but I guess it could just as well be a cold rainy winter day almost anywhere. Maladict
No, not in Gaul or Britain, and no, it's not an underwater city It's hard to spot, but the clue is in a 'shape' in the top right-hand corner of the picture. edit: and btw, it was neither rainy nor cold... Maladict
Very nice shot - from the Moon? It would be so easy to guess if it was.
Klingan
I guess that makes us looking for a warm place, with a shape, and ducks in a fairly large pond... Do you have a sharper version of the picture? The jpg compression have made it slightly blurry.
Maladict
I guess that makes us looking for a warm place, with a shape, and ducks in a fairly large pond... Two of those are connected. Also note my reply to Gaius Octavius. Do you have a sharper version of the picture? The jpg compression have made it slightly blurry. Picture updated with larger version, nothing I can do about the jpeg compression I'm afraid.

Maladict
Still too hard, huh? Maybe a little altitude will do the trick. It's not taken from the moon, but it should do. Edited March 26, 2007 by Maladict
