ASCLEPIADES
Salve, guys and Ladies! ... AND THIS IS THE BASILICA OF THE SAME CITY.
ASCLEPIADES
Salve, guys! OK, a non-graphical hint: This is a Bona Fide Roman city located in an indisputable Hellenic region.
ASCLEPIADES
Salve, guys and Ladies! I am beginning to feel a bit schizophrenic talking alone. ANOTHER CLUE: This was one of the first cities that accepted christianity. Cheers and good luck!
Klingan
I don't think people need more clues to be honest. We just need more people to post here if the thread is to survive. I don't know how many guesses, wrong or correct I've had here, so I'm not really in the mood for guessing yet for a while.

Anyway, I am going to leave a last clue: This city is in an island. Cheers and good luck!

Silence is more eloquent than a thousand words. This baby is GORTYN in Crete, Greece. I leave the place to anyone who has a good pic to upload. Cheers and good luck. ASCLEPIADES
Salve, guys & Ladies! For the record, since Maladict began this thread, during 19 weeks we have posted pictures of 53 Roman and/or Greek sites at the four corners of the Empire, in Italy and no less than 24 provinces, two thirds of them in the Western side. Not a bad score. Cheers and good luck! Edited July 30, 2007 by ASCLEPIADES

Maladict
Damn, too late. I'd have recognized Gortyn in an instant. I'll upload a new picture later today, unless anyone beats me to it.

ASCLEPIADES
Salve, M! Well, maybe it's good time for some clues, don't you think so?
Maladict
Salve, M! Well, maybe it's good time for some clues, don't you think so? I guess so. According to legend, the tomb in the picture belongs to the Trojan founder of this Italian city.
