SO Primus Pilus, explain this junk over again to me. And can you give me a book/source to read about this subject too. Perplexity and disbelief are necessary preconditions for pursuing Roman history. I can't speak for everyone else though. Some of the people who have posted in this thread (I refuse to reveal their identities for fear of retribution) may or may not have been under the influence of mind-altering frankincense and granulated amber.
