Philhellene
Does anybody have English or French translation of "De sententiis" or "De cerimoniis" of Constantine Porphyrogenetus? I`m interested in excerpts from Peter Patricius (aka Magister).
Philhellene
Peter is also known as Anonymous Continuator of Dio Cassius.
Gaius Octavius
I have no idea, but maybe this will help: URL deleted. Edited December 23, 2006 by Gaius Octavius
Philhellene
Is this some kind of virus? exe-file... I have all works of Constantine in Greek, but it is very hard for me to translate it, I can do it, but only "De sententiis" gives 191 fragments of Peter`s lost work. The fragments of Dio Cassius were very helpful, so that`s very exciting to know that Constantine saved his continuator. Nonetheless, I am deleting it now.
Philhellene
I tried to download it, but this file didn`t exist. What was it? Edited December 23, 2006 by Philhellene
Gaius Octavius
I'll give you a different site where you can pick from "Other Resources', one of which I posted earlier. http://www.math.ohio-state.edu/~econrad/lang/latin.html
Philhellene
I don`t think that Latin grammar could help in this case.
