In it's entirety: "A unique silver Thracian coin form the 5th century BC was presented in Bulgaria's city of Plovdiv. The coin was unique because it was minted during the ruling of the Thracian king Sitalk. Up to now historians believed that coins were not minted during Sitalk

Just a marketing ploy to raise the bid if it goes to auction.

Coins were minted around the time of Sitalkes' and/or his father Teres (with almost the same motif; forepart of a horse on one side and the eagle snake combo on the back; SEE HERE) so what the heck is the big deal other than the condition seems to be pretty good.

So historians used to think Sitalkes was too busy with territory expansion & conflict to mint coins... Woops, guess they were wrong, now we know! :)

(No offense to you Polecat, thanks for posting!)
