Viggen
High priests at an ancient religious compound in southern Peru may have designed the mysterious Nazca lines, a set of huge geometric patterns, animal figures and long lines etched in the desert, the area's top archaeologist said. Researchers say the Cahua-chi compound, built in 400 B.C., is just across the Nazca Valley from the lines, one of Peru's most popular tourist attractions and a U.N. World Heritage site. full article at AZStarNet

Guest J McCreery
Hello all, I read the Priests may have designed Nazca lines, article - but I was disappointed that it offered no evidence other than felines are "found in all Nazcan art." Because we see a near identical feline in the Blythe California, Intaglios (i.e., giant figures). If we compare the two: Nazca vs Blythe, for instance, we see that they have many features in common; hence are related IMO: 1. Stiff and disproportionately long legs 2. Enlarged feet 3. Same head {with the possible exception of the ears 4. Phallus is {inappropriately} mid-body 5. Same neck extended horizontally 6. Same horizontal displacement of the tail relative to the body 7. Same relative angle between the body and the phallic tail. 8. The same technique of drawing the four legs w/one not hiding the other 9. The only significant difference is that the Blythe animal lacks the vertical "tail" .. but that can be explained as an individual artist's departure from the original. BLYTHE feline intaglio .
