DecimusCaesar
I've chosen Constantinople, capital of the Eastern Roman Empire, although I also like the numerous roman cities like Leptis Magna, Palmyra and Aphrodisias.

Ravenna is not really an important Roman city. It rarely be shown on maps in the books (that I own). =w= And...what's about Milano anyway? Seldom hear this name in Roman history. Kosmo
Some cities like Antioch and Alexandria were hellenistic as much as roman. Others like Ravenna and Constantinopole were great much latter. I voted for Rome.

Maybe you're right, then, cause I really don't know much. My history books seldom mention this city...Frankly I don't know much about Roman cities except the four major ones, i.e. Roma, Constantinople, Antioch and Alexandria. Lacertus
I voted for Roma. I guess it was a bit chaotic but a wonderful town. Not without reason all towns were compared with Roma.  I have link about Ravenna's mosaic so you can see it  mosaics
Pantagathus
Rome was too easy. I voted 'Other' with Gades in mind...
Favonius Cornelius
Dura Europus. It is representitive to me of the best and most expanded days of the empire, a city able to thrive on the fringes of empire and desert.
