Southwater

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of an ancient place called Southwater? I heard it was a large farm that burned down, and I guess it affected a lot of people. I did a skim for links but didn't find anything.

Hmm, I have a Southwick reference for you (West Sussex):

Heaven forfend, I forgot to say, the UK. This area was notable for proximity to the important iron smelting areas of the Weald.

Do you have any more clues regarding the " southwater" site you have in mind? Here we have South Shields (Arbeia) a very important supply port at the Eastern extremity of Hadrian's Wall (especially during the Severan campaigns).

I know it probably would not be in Britain. It is somewhere very close to or in Italy. It was a farm. I had some limited info from a text file but it disappeared. I'm looking really hard for it.

I search on wikipedia but also find Southwater is located in the south of UK. Information states that this place had been burned down, as you said about the place you want to know about.

The earliest buildings in Southwater are Medieval in date, although the origins of the village may go further back. until c.1914, when it burned down

Ok, Southwater was a historical event in Rome: Total War. I remember reading the little caption, but cannot find it in the text files. All I could find was this.

disaster Southwater

{

type fire

year 0

position 272 227

size 30

}

There is also a battle map named Southwater and it clearly is a farm.

Exactly, that's why I'm asking anyone if they know! :lol:

I've also adopted your conclusion. This thread wants to be put in the tartarus. :)
