Yuenglings is a decent beer. There is a huge demand for it in Atlanta but the brewery won't distribute here (yet) because they don't have the capacity to handle a market this big on top of the markets they are already in.

Not a bad problem to have.

It is definitely the best beer to be found in a can.

Bride just returned from Maine. She had 'Shipyard Ale', brewed in Portland, ME. Thought it was very good.

P.P.: Y. is available at Miers in Rochester Hills. It is now a part of Anheuiser-Bush(?).

Pantagathus, i am devasteted, no austrian beer on your site :(

For you Viggen, I will remedy that! I will work up and article about Samichlaus from Eggenberger.

It has been a while since I've had one of these vintage beauties so I will buy one this week and give it a nod!

Shipyard Export is one of my girlfriend's favorites. I like it too. Interestingly enough that is distributed down here.

ah, nice one, i hope you enjoy it, (for me this one would be way too strong...)

If you ever get a chance, try my local Bock Bier, it is only available during christmas and easter time, it is stronger then normal beer (because of longer storage time) but with 6.9% aclohol still drinkable...

Villacher Festbock link goes to german site

LOL, if you think that german is a slavic dialect then yes, you do have no clue ;)

That was German? I speak it fluently! Just can't read or write a word of it. Leave that part to my brother.

My Bride is of the Teutonic persuasion, and thus we are encumbered with the likes of Asbach Uralt, the which I am presently making great inroads on.

Ah, well, if we're gonna have this discussion, then I'll post my 2 'local' favorites:

Gordon Biersch

and

Sudwerk (this one is in the town I went to college...and damn did the maibock make the end of the quarter fly by!

OOO!!! Me too!!

http://www.newbelgium.com/beers.php

I'm absolutely taken with the 1554 Black Ale (very unique, IMO) and the Beire de Mars (seasonal). I also like the Sunshine Wheat which makes a pleasant black and tan with the 1554 (which I happen to be getting loaded on at the moment)

I've been hankering for Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter lately and it will probably be my next purchase. My previous selection was Beamish Irish Stout, which I bought during a very rainy spell, but the weather turned very hot and humid for several days, putting a damper upon my drinking enjoyment.
