Did Ancient Amazonians Build A 'stonehenge'?

Recommended Posts

SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) -- A grouping of granite blocks along a grassy Amazon hilltop may be the vestiges of a centuries-old astronomical observatory -- a find archaeologists say indicates early rain forest inhabitants were more sophisticated than previously believed...

Maybe this will divert attention away from the Bosnian Pyramid?

What always amuses me is the universal "ancient inhabitants may have been more sophisticated than previously believed..." Rather than assuming that we have dumbed-up . Perhaps the Amazonians paddled balsa canoes to deliver the stones for the Bosnian pyramid?

Henges seem to be a universal diffuse culture occurence.

The picture doesn't show much. A shot from above would have been more enlightening.

This seems to be more plausable than the Bosnian bit.

Certainly, it will lead to the questions about from whence the stones; how did they get there; and how were they erected.

For once, I hope some cretin doesn't come up with the 'alien' bit.
