FLavius Valerius Constantinus
I'm not Irish, but I though that it was appropriate to start this thread since today is St. Patrick's Day. Remember, the Church is allowing us Catholics cornbeef and cabbage. Edited March 18, 2006 by FLavius Valerius Constantinus
docoflove1974
And as the good half-breed-Italian that I am, I had roasted chicken and artichokes :giggle: I still had a black and tan beforehand, tho. Let us all be Irish for a day!

Take note, don't wear Vaseline and mascara both on your eyes) I actually REMEMBERED to wear my green, yay.

Pertinax
The celebrations here were very unusual-the main celebrants seemed to be two Romanian's who look after the Town Centre flower beds . They seemed very happy though.
Aphrodite
Did you know that St Patrick wasn't actually welsh? He was kidnapped from somewhere (i forget, maybe wales or england) and taken there as a child! Bejesus!

He was kidnapped from somewhere (i forget, maybe wales or england) and taken there as a child! I'm assuming you mean "wasn't actually Irish ?" If he was kidnapped from Wales then he would have been welsh.

Lacertus
Well, I'm not Irish, but I'm Catholic. There was a big celebration St. Patrick Day in Moscow. Did you know that St Patrick wasn't actually welsh? He was kidnapped from somewhere (i forget, maybe wales or england) and taken there as a child! St Patrick was born at Kilpatrick, near Dumbarton, in Scotland, in the year 387 CE

Well, all in all if it wasn't for St. Patrick's work in converting the Irish which paved the way for all the monastaries where so much literature was saved during the Dark Ages, Civilization may never have recovered...
