The bust is unique - there are no other examples of statues like this made in ivory. full article at Italymag
FLavius Valerius Constantinus
It's probaly M. Aurelius, Septimus Severus, being the ruthless ruler would seem awkward to glorify himself as a Greeklike philosopher.
Germanicus
It's probaly M. Aurelius, Septimus Severus, being the ruthless ruler would seem awkward to glorify himself as a Greeklike philosopher. Actually, there are a large number of busts and statues depicting Septimus as statesman/philospher. (Including one head in the Melbourne Art Gallery)
Favonius Cornelius
It amazes me that they can still be digging up remarkable things like these right in the center of Rome.
