longbow Posted June 27, 2005 Report Share Posted June 27, 2005 I watched the tv programme about this dig last week,The King was one of the first Christian Kings but his two sons were very pagan.On his eyes he had two foil crosses,the only ones ever found in Britain(there common around the Easten countrys)But because his Pagan sons didnt believe in the new God, there Fathers tomb was allso stacked with his worldly goods(his war gear and even some objects from Byzantiam),a very unchristian thing to do.
