Roman sculpture head found in Bulgaria

The ancient Roman city of Heraclea Sintica in Bulgaria has been the site of some recent finds (see post below). A sculpture head has recently found (see picture above). It is thought that many of these statues were buried in the late fourth century AD following a destructive earthquake and possibly hidden from the Christian authorities.
