Everything worked out OK regarding the flood. We were told we might receive 24 inches of rain over a 36 hour period and only received 5 inches of rain over a 24 hour period so I guess we got lucky. The remains of hurricaine Rita were supposed to have stalled over my area, but we were lucky that the storm went a different direction than the one predicted. Even then, it was nothing to what you chaps in that area must be experiencing.Now, because of extensive drought, we'll probbaly not get another flood for ages.
