State's 12,000-year-old Artifact Goes Missing

State archaeologist Rick Jones has been displaying one of Indiana's oldest man-made relics at public events for so long that he never considered the possibility someone might steal it.

 

But earlier this month at the Indiana State Fair, someone walked away with a 12,000-year-old stone spear point that Jones said is among the rarest items in the state's collection of relics.
