Primus Pilus
Due to recent investigation regarding the use of the calendar feature on the site, we discovered there were other options available by upgrading our forum software. On top of security measures and various support resources that can come in handy, the new version will have features such as a community blog and picture gallery available to our members, while providing some additional things such as the previously mentioned calendar. This should all be taking place fairly soon, and we may experience some limited down time as a result, but we expect that this will only be a short-lived inconvenience. We also don't expect to lose any previous topics or posts and the basic forum structure should remain intact. We hope everyone likes it
Lost_Warrior
Cool Making a great forum even better! Honestly, this place is already awesome...now that I have my own forum I *really* don't know how you did it lol.
Primus Pilus
Thanks LW! Btw, Viggen tells me there are some other options that may be available like personal blogs that are fully integrated with the forum, etc. However, the upgrade itself is a little expensive, so we'll see which options make sense and how popular they may be etc. He'll explain some more over the weekend. Lost_Warrior
Oh, yea, expensive upgrades. Well, this site does not need much I'd say go for the security, because that couldn't hurt any. No wonder your forum is better....I've got free hosting.

Ursus
I was just saying to myself the other day I need a new blog. I have one already which I use mostly for musings on Rome and paganism, but having one linked to UNRV would be cool.
Ursus
Another thought ..... is there a way that people who don't post for over three months or so get automatically deleted from the registry? The forum says we have 740 members, but as we all know we have maybe 30 who ever post.
Primus Pilus
I'm not even sure why people register on a forum like this if they have no intention of posting. There are no additional features simply by joining. However, since there will be new features with the upgrade, its probably something we'll have to consider. I'm sure we will be able to control who gets to use what features, however, possibly based on post count or our own discretion.
