Germanicus
Goodfellas - Loved Ray Liotta Unforgiven - As someone already mentioned a great western Lord of the Rings Trilogy The 5th Element - Don't really know why, it just makes me forget about the day to day. The Mission - Film about franciscan monks in South America taking sides with the native people against the Spanish - made me cry and De Niro was good. Gladiator - Could have been so much better, but is still kick ass. Cube - Low budget SciFi with a really cool idea. The Breakfast Club - Loved it when a teen, a nostalgic fave Bladerunner Boyz in the Hood - Just really enjoyed it, something so far removed from my own experience, was an eye opener at the time. I was tempted to put King Arthur in just to annoy Longbow, but couldn't bring myself to do it....it really is a crap film. Zeke - Curious to know why you hated Sin City so much ??? Ursus
Godzilla Meets Bambie?... Conan The Barbarian?... The Princess Bride? I'm surprised I didn't see Born Yesterday in those lists. I see a major generation gap here. Have you ever heard of any of these... Casablanca (42) Streetcar Named Desire (51) Citizen Kane (41) Dr. Stranglove (64) Raging Bull (80) Apocolypse Now (79) The Quite Man (52) Shindlers List (93) Lawrence of Arabia (62) Gone With The Wind (39) The Battleship Potemkin (25) Godzilla Meets Bambie, indeed! Liked Casablanca, and that's about the only thing from Bogart I can watch. Schindler's list was done well, but I'm not close to the subject matter. Gone With the Wind ... not a Civil War buff. Oh, I forgot one from my list .... best independent movie --- the Blair Witch Project.
