guy
The archaeological museum in Hatay, Turkey looks like a wonderful place to visit. This newest mosaic on display will be an added marvel, for sure. Quote “The 6-square-meter (64-square-foot) mosaic was discovered during illegal excavations in the Hassa district southern Hatay province, an area with a long history of grape cultivation, and later moved to the Hatay Archeological Museum's warehouse in 2016. Work was started to display the mosaic, which was carefully preserved and thought to belong to the late Roman period, corresponding to the A.D. fifth and sixth centuries. After six months of restoration, the mosaic was moved to the temporary exhibition hall of the museum under the name "Mosaic of the Vine Harvest."” https://www.dailysabah.com/arts/mosaic-depicting-grape-harvest-to-go-on-display-in-turkeys-hatay/news https://m.bianet.org/english/culture/252229-roman-vineyard-mosaic-to-be-showcased-in-southern-turkey Edited February 2 by guy
