pompeius magnus
Does anyone know if there have been any recent efforts to find the lost manuscripts of Livy. Are they presumed to be destroyed or still in hiding.
Favonius Cornelius
Lost. Only the gods know what was written. If they were found it would cause quite a sensation in the historical world.
Lacertus
I know the little part of "lost" manuscripts of Livy was found but the condition of them is very bad and historians cannot read them. A several years ago I read about new finds of Livy's books and this was really sensation but this manuscript was a bad later copy of Livy's works. And although there is a version that Livy didn't write other books beside known. In this case why other ancient authors linked to Livy's book? M. Licinius Crassus Mortgage Co.
I have always wanted to know what happened to the forgotten Memoir of L. Cornelius Sulla. I have always thought that would make a great bit of historical fiction.
Hamilcar Barca
I would love to have been able to read the complete books of Livy, sure he an be over the top, but he's usually accurate and tells a great story.
