King George's Madness Linked To Arsenic

Scientists have found high levels of arsenic in the hair of King George III and say the deadly poison may be to blame for the bouts of apparent madness he suffered.

 

In 1969, researchers proposed the strange behavior of the monarch who reigned during the American Revolution resulted from a rare hereditary blood disorder called porphyria...

Arsenic was used in the paint and wallpaper and when the wallpaper gets damp it gives off toxic fumes :D ,Arsenic was allso found in Napoleons Hair Follicles.

There was a documentary a few years back about King George III and his apparent madness. Unfortunately it was not confined to himself but, they managed to trace it back through further generations of monarchy in Britain.
