Marcus Serpiter
I hope this is the right forum for this question but can someone point me to a good resource that would have information on Roman cities of say, around 150 A.D.? Looking for information like city size, layout or structure of the city, if possible, trade goods, etc. Looking for information on most cities of the Italian peninsula other than Rome, in particular Syracuse, Naples, Ravenna, Pisae, Verona, Aquileia. If this has been asked before, please forgive a newbie and point me to the relevant reference. Thanks!
Princeps
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Searc...=roman%2Bcities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Searc...ch=roman+cities The info is possibly slightly generic (I haven't read it yet), but it's a start. I'll try and find more tomorrow.
Marcus Serpiter
Thanks Trajen, that's a good start. I'll just have to do some searching there for the individual cities that I am interested in. I'll keep looking.
