Viggen
Hello Babylon Baby, depends where you live, some of those channels do show documentaries on their website (BBC for sure), probably is that they are always geo location based, so someone from outside the UK does not have access (legal, there are ways around though)
Onasander
I get most of mine off my kindle, which has a video search option. If you have a amazon prime account (about a hundred bucks) it's free to watch most. They also have some to buy. They have most of what you mentioned, as well as some subtitled foreign works I haven't seen elsewhere.
SteveW
Netflix and Hulu both have plenty of documentaries, YouTube is loaded with them, just plug in a search term, Open Culture has a lot of free material on it as well. I also have plenty of itunes podcasts I subscribe to on various history eras, both video and audio podcasts, all free.
GhostOfClayton
There's some very good stuff on iTunes, but you really have to know specifically what you want to find it. Browsing iTunes just by categories really isn't that fruitful. 4OD has some Roman documentary content, but you need to be logged in via a UK Proxy to access it. BABYLON BABY
I live in Australia so Geo blockings a big problem but a lot of those VOD sites like Netflicks don't let you download any way.Hulu wont even let me on the site,do they offer downloads ? BBC and all those studios are useless if your trying to purchase downloads, they don't like money.
