But now, if you visit Cadw’s website, you can see for yourself how a much larger building dominated this part of North Wales almost 2,000 years ago. Only the footings of some of the walls remain to show where Segontium Roman Fort once stood, but the building has risen again through digital technology. The computer-generated video starts at sea level to show how this massive building towered over the site of the present town, covering four times the area of the famous castle.
