Viggen Posted May 17, 2014 Report Share Posted May 17, 2014 New intriguing finds from the Late Iron Age have been found in Kvarnbo, Saltvik, on the Åland Islands, within the framework of a project led by Dr Kristin Ilves. The geographical position of the Åland Islands (today an autonomous, monolingually Swedish-speaking region of Finland) between Sweden and Finland is highlighted in most of the few historical studies dealing with the region’s Iron Age (500 BC-1050 AD). more at Heritage Daily Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
