Which country owned Corinth in 280bc?
Guest Scanderbeg
My guess would be independant.
Lacertus
Corinth was the collecting point of Common Greece in head of Macedonia from 338 BC to 243 BC
hannibal_barca
so it was Macedonian?
Lacertus
Unfortunately, I could not find the reference in an English-speaking site. I think that Corinth was under the control of Macedonia. Macedonia at that time supervised territory of Greece. But Corinth had any management and legally entered in Common Greece union as the independent state. pompeius magnus
Macedon for sure controlled Corinth as a part of Phillips conquests and one of the 3 splits in the empire after Alexander's death, after the battle of Pydnia in 168 BC(may be off a little on date) Rome conquered all of Greece, would have earlier perhaps, but this pesky Carthaginian general kept crushing their armies. Lacertus
This is the case, only it was valid for hundred years later.
