Germanicus
I am heading to Italy for three weeks, Rome for one of those. I'll check everything out in detail that I can, and understand that Hadrians Villa is about 15 miles south of Rome. Question for everyone :- Has anyone been and can you tell me about it ? I've seen some pics and it looks awesome.
Silentium
I've been there a couple of times. Yes, it's in a "town" called Tivoli and it's simply amazing, it's not a case if the Villa is under the Unesco "protection". In addition to the various buildings there are also wonderful mosaics and pavements in opus sectile and opus spicatum, I don't know where to start describing it, it's huge (even bigger than Pompeii) and it's a suggestive place.
