As elsewhere in the Barbaricum, this period is marked by the massive appearance of Roman objects mainly in the form of silver coins and tableware in bronze, glass and silver. But the region was also influenced by a number of technological and intellectual advances through the contact with the Romans. Regarding daily life, we see an increase in the size of farm animals, and new species such as cats and chicken appear, as well as a range of new crops. Research of Germanic textiles has shown an inspiration from Roman design.
