Viggen
The remains of the only known Roman chariot racing track in Britain have been found under an army barracks being redeveloped in Colchester. New homes are going up on a 209-acre site where builders preparing the groundworks excavated what they believe is a race track nearly 2,000 years old. full article at the BBC

Lawrence T
Hi there, I am an archaeologist on the Garrison/Abbey Field site where the circus has been discovered - it is a genuine pleasure to be involved with something so significant. At this stage, Taylor-Woodrow haven't even designed the development and as a consequence, intend to work with the monument, rather than against it. This, I believe, will take the form of a large open space area. There's also the fact that English Heritage could well schedule the site. For all the latest info from the site itself, you should check out www.colchestercircus.com
Augustus
They should build around the track, and the area where it was unearthed should be set aside.
