Varro
Hallo to you, I am looking for detailed facts on Marcus Terentius Varro Lucullus Macedonian campaign. Information on his victory over the Thracian tribe Bessi is briefly mentioned in several sources, but what about the capture of Greek Colonies like Apollonia, Tomis, Callatis and Istros? Was Callatis handed over to him without a fight? I saw that on this forum. And what about the tribes Aenum & Maronea? They confronted Terentius Varro Lucullus as well. Anyway. If there is someone in this forum who might be able to recommend a web source or a book to buy it would be much appreciated. Many Thanks. sylla
