GhostOfClayton
Hopefully, this should be a quick one to pin. I remember (a couple of years ago) doing a bit of Googling/surfing/Wiki-ing, and stumbling across a tourist attraction somewhere in the US consisting of a life-size replica Roman Fort. No offence to our friends for His Majesty's Thirteen Former Colonies, but it seemed an unusual place to find such a thing. I looked on Google Earth and sure enough, there it was; large as life. The thing is, I can't seem to find it anymore. Was it just a dream, or does anyone know of it? If so, has anyone visited? If so, what's it like? One our American cousins may be able to answer better than me but doing a quick search on a couple of re-enactor websites closer inspection of photographs on their sites seem to show them in front of more modern fortifications (or reproductions there of) generally dating no earlier than the period of the Declaration of Independence. Legio XXIV does seem to have one image in front of a stone and brick wall quoting the archway of Fort Washington as being 'reminiscent' of Roman gatesways.
