    In a Roman pagan perspective, I would mind sacrificing humans to Cloacina. To an urban Roman, the tunnel system meant everything. The aquaducts provide water from far way into the cities water system, meaning fountains. Fountains is pretty much where lots of Romans get their daily need of water and that is very important. So the tunnels are important. I prefer not using the term sewers.

    OoH, somehow, I read another report that really disreputes that article. Scientists have reported that their results show otherwise that a large part of Europeans were descended from farmers. I don't know who to believe now.

    I'm not sure if I fell out of favor of the imperator, but it doesn't irk me that I have become part of the " slave usergroup." For some reason now, I can't post. Well I can see my posts, but it takes like 2 hours for my posts to appear. I don't know whats wrong.

    Wow, even I'm not that dedicated right now in my sophomore year. Well I am dedicated in my Latin class. Right now, I'm personally try to get my teacher to teach me how to read and translatereal Roman inscriptions, awesome. Ergo, Zeke, spero te omnes praestent qui in tuo itinere stant.

    I agree with you. Only those who can preserve it and guard it with the greatest care should keep it. But then so many other nations nowadays think they can guard it, but the problem is that those nations haven't had enough experience to stop smuggling, which is how a lot of artifacts end up in England and Rome(Vatican City). Like England, Vatican City has a much larger issue because lots and lots of relics, artifacts, items, and et cetera don't belong to them.( They gathered all these things since from the beginning of the Church to now and how kept them preserved is simply amazing.)

    In Asian cultures, coagulated pig or cow blood is a common item. Also in Asian culture, some countries eat dogs, cats, turtles, pidgeons, and et cetera. Just to prove my point, its not barbarian. Just cultural differences.

    I think you guys should make a note to people when then view or register to the forum explaining to them or give them encourage to post and that we are really normal loving people that aren't pyschotic. (I don't think pyschotic is the right word.)

    HUH? Sorry, but your last sentence really confused me. I mean Mars is Mars. I don't know how it he could possibly exist in the Middle East when his origins were from Greece. I think what your pointing at is that Mars and your guy seems to have the same ideologies and traits. Lots of Gods of War were similar because many societies experiences the effects of war in similar ways. Correct me if my opinion is really stupid.

    I wouldn't mind the tetrarchy. I think it could work if the succession from Caesar to Agustus had stricter rules,guidelines, and definitions. When it comes to military matters, I just wished that the East would actually try to help the West combat the barbarian hordes instead of just bribing the hordes like a sickness. With that money, you could help the West raise and train better soldiers.

    The emperors you've mentioned are the ones where their accomplishments greatly overshadowed their personal lives. If Caligula had relations with boys, a new style of embarassment would have begun. But then again, your argument was better than mine. My argument would have worked if we we're referring to Late Empire when Christianity was dominence, no need to explain how people viewed homosexuality there.

    Little bread, meat and meat. That sounds like the diet of a British sailors back then when scurvy was still uncured.( Note, scurvy grass was a very common flowering plant rich in Vitamin C that sailors commonly ate to cure scurvy. Many other plants cure such diseases.)

    I thought the Romans ate weird stuff, but all these descriptions of other foods just... I can't explain.
