    Gosh, what's with all the pessimism. The only way I can think of instant death of human civilization if an asteroid a mile wide or more in diameter had hit earth. Gonna mention it now, but I believe in an afterlife, so we're all going to heaven.

    I extremely like how you think there Germanicus, it certainly would be a good scene. As for me: 1)The battle at the Milvian bridge and Constantine's vision/dream of the burning cross along with the words "in hoc signo vinces", him getting baptised, well his life basically. 2) An dramatic Oscar deserving movie of Caligula. 3) The whole conquest Galliae. 4) Trajan's Dacian campaign. 5) What Germanicus said. 6) Countless others.

    Sorry Simon 2, but I don't think there's a word for legend. The Romans didn't differentiate stories, they see every story as the same type. Sextus:1) Ante lectum ( use this if you intended to refer to time when as in the time before the chosen) 2) Prae lecto ( use this if you want to state position to refer as literally standing before the chosen.)

    This may be random, but as of a few moments(minutes) ago, there seems to be a huge flux of guest. Today I've seen the number of guests around 50+, amazing. How much people can UNRV support anyways?

    There are many risk in lifting something thousands of year old and is very fragile, not to mention its a pain in the blank to clean it regularly for the next 7 years in order to put it back together and display it. ALSO, its lots and lots of money, so really, you will seriously need rich patrons.

    Ursus, I have a question. When Constantine defeated Maxentius, did his soldiers immediately convert to his new cult(Christianity) because of this decisive win even though the majority were all pagans? I think my question might be wrong, but you know what I mean.

    Only reason I could think of is because Rome,before the Gallic Wars, was repeatedly raided by Gallic and German tribes. Remember the Sacred Geese story, thats one example. Also, remember that many Gallic tribes joined Hannibal to fight Rome. In many respects, why not conquer those barbaros once and for all before they sack Rome again.

    I don't think M. Aurelius was that good of a general, his campaigns were too passives. Instead of the conquering the Germans once and for all, he made a campaign of really just trying to keep them out of German, subduing them only temporary. By the way, and no offence at all,shouldn't it be Gaius Julius Traianus, thats the real way in latin if you intended it to be a true latin cognomen form.
