Sicko Debunked
FLavius Valerius Constantinus commented on FLavius Valerius Constantinus's blog entry in Cotidiana Res Meo Vitae
You'd be surprised at the number of idiots who believes every illegitimate point he makes. I posted the article because this is the first time I've seen the liberal AP actually discredit Moore so bluntly. -
For all of you Sicko fans...you've been mislead! Read this article In many respects, Michael Moore's new movie, "Sicko," is like a trial for those who oversee health care in the United States. The industry

How will the wife explain this?
FLavius Valerius Constantinus posted a blog entry in Cotidiana Res Meo Vitae
From Yahoo news MIAMI (Reuters) - A Florida man awoke with a severe headache and asked his wife to drive him to a hospital, where doctors found a bullet lodged behind his right ear, sheriff's deputies said. "The nurse looked at him and said, 'It appears that you've been shot,'" the Fort Pierce Tribune quoted St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara as saying. "And he said, 'No way.'" The wife, April Moylan, fled the emergency room when the bullet was discovered but later told deputies she had accidentally shot her husband as he slept early on Tuesday. She was jailed on a weapons violation charge while deputies pursued additional charges. The husband, 45-year-old Michael Moylan, woke up with a head pain so severe he suspected he was having an aneurysm and asked his wife to take him to the emergency room, deputies said. They arrested the wife after obtaining a search warrant and finding a gun and bloody rags in the couple's home near the Atlantic coastal town of Port St. Lucie. The husband was hospitalized in stable condition. UPDATE: WIFE EXPLAINS WHY PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A woman held on a gun charge claims she accidentally shot her husband in the head after becoming startled when the couple's burglar alarm activated, authorities said Wednesday. April Moylan, 39, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and ordered held Wednesday on $75,000 bond, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office. Prosecutors were not immediately seeking additional charges. "The state attorney's office continues to review the facts of the case, and that review is ongoing," Sheriff Ken Mascara said Wednesday. "That means it is possible there could be additional charges in the future." It was not immediately clear if she had an attorney. Michael Eugene Moylan, 45, initially told authorities he awoke early Tuesday morning with a severe headache. The couple went to a hospital where a bullet was discovered in the man's head. Investigators initially thought Moylan had been hit by a stray bullet, but later realized the couple's story did not match up, Mascara said. The couple finally told authorities that April Moylan sleeps with a loaded .32-caliber revolver under her pillow. They said that when the burglar alarm sounded at about 4 a.m. Tuesday, she grabbed the gun and it accidentally discharged, shooting her husband in the head just behind his ear. Mascara said the couple told authorities they couldn't simply call 911 because both are convicted felons and are not allowed to own a gun so they concocted the headache story. April Moylan previously had been convicted of sale and delivery of cocaine in Palm Beach County, Mascara said. Her husband's criminal record was not immediately available. He was recovering Wednesday at a hospital. His wound was not considered life-threatening, the sheriff's office said. -

I'm sorry, but this is a joke. In fact, methinks that website made Latin 1 even harder then when I was in Latin 1. -

Microsoft Surface
FLavius Valerius Constantinus replied to FLavius Valerius Constantinus's topic in Hora Postilla Thermae
Obviously, Surface is stated by Microsoft to not be available to public consumers until 3-5 years later and when it is mass produced, it will like cost around the price of a large HDTV. However, reading through those comments on the link, I find it extremely bias because this multi-touch technology has been out for an extremely long time. Microsoft is just being innovative with the design and possibilities. Come on seriously, how are you going to compare a Surface vs an Iphone which falls into different operating categories. -
For those of you who have not heard of such a device yet, prepare to be amaze. Link to Website Can't believe they've been working on this for years.

Why Do You Like Rome?
FLavius Valerius Constantinus replied to TwoMinutesHate's topic in Imperium Romanorum
I'll be frank...I got into Roman history because of the childish view that the Legions were badass and all that...and that in a Roman culture...I could own slaves...yes evil things indeed. -

Byzantium= Eastern Roman empire?
FLavius Valerius Constantinus replied to Fedor's topic in Hora Postilla Thermae
The Eastern Roman Empire has always been the Roman Empire. The Byzantine Empire never really existed, the Greeks in the East called themselves Roman, not Byzantium. If you search the forum, you would find many good threads on the subject you seek. -

Caldrail...I think that is one of the most beautiful rebuke to the global warming hype that I see in American society. Seriously, I have to defend and explain to other stupid people of my youth that they are too liberal and misinformed in their views. They keep saying humans are the main cause and I keep telling them that the ocean produces 97 percent of what is in the atmosphere compared to the human output, meanwhile, the sun has increased activity that warms the world even more. Oh by the way, more than 200 scientists and professionals on global warming completely disagree with the jocks who believe the hype. Sheesh, We can make it change they say...au revoir

Yes, it's odd that many Americans value the second admendment, but you just wouldn't expect in any stable and sane society that someone would even dare try to commit mass murder. You just would not assume that the person who is acting odd, like the killer, would even have the power to think of such crimes, nor could you force him to change if you knew his intentions. In my class today, my teacher importantly said, no what gun control restrictions you have, it will and can happen anywhere and anytime. You just cannot stop it. Even if the US banned gun ownership, I still, for example, would be able to buy one by hitting up a drug dealer,or smuggler, or the vast black market that there is up in some banged-up neighborhood. It'll harder to obtain them, but people with bad intentions eventually get them. I suppose America is just different.
