  1. I think it should be Totos Romanos because I doubt that the Romans would be describing themselves so femininely. Remember, masculine is the way to go for Romans.
  2. I suppose your right then. Still, what does Elian have to do with Puerto Rico.
  3. How do you guys cope with all the shark attacks, jellyfishes that kill, billions of bugs, and the extremely hot temperature. I'm mostly amazed how you guys can to a beach and act calmly when there are always a good possibility of jellyfish stinging you. By the way, any Aussies met dingos. Note: the Discovery Channel brought light to me of how cool Austrailia is.
  4. Why did they call this the Bona Dea scandal? Was it a religious event or something? (all I know is Bona Dea means 'good goddess' in latin)
  5. Huh, we're talking about Puerto Rico here. Castro really has no influence in Puerto Rico.
  6. What about religious offices or postions. I think they were partly responsible for the ending of the Republic. They still had great influence over the people during that time, yet they were too all corrupt and easily open to bribery like tribunes. So how do you fix that?
  7. I don't think this has to do with Elian or Cuba at all. Puerto Rico could have easily become the 51st state, but unfortunately, they voted no. They almost did become, but then almost did not.
  8. I've changed the Ethics forum into a more comprehensive Culture forum.. hopefully that will suit our needs. At some point we can always add subforums if the demand is there. So is the English to latin thread in that forum now? Aside, I see that you sorta used my advice for the title of the forum, lest I may be wrong again.
  9. I hope the Administrators do support the idea because I reaffirm my support and help. I wonder what Ursus thinks because he's knowledgable on common sense of what is important.
  10. I really don't have any, but Augustine because I can identify with a few of his ideas even if his ideals are too stict.
  11. Well, I see Constantine as the Greatest Roman Figure "for the late era of the Roman Empire."
  12. Niether party would win that conflict. That's the wisest answer I've seen Germanicus. Most ppl would say the US, but having tremendous amounts of people dying is never a win.
  13. The use of nukes as a deterrent is scary any day, but I doubt nations would have the guts to do it because it would only result in having their own country destroyed. Example: US has a couple of thousands(the numbers are down from the SALT and other treaties) nukes, Korea has probably several. Now who would win that war.
  14. I doubt we need invade Iran. Combat their influences in Iraq, yes. If they do continue their program, it will only turn into Korea, and that wouldn't be good for their economy with all the bans and restrictions that would ultimately be imposed. The only way I see it is a rebellion in their country because the majority of the Iranian population is mostly young adults and they are very pro to Western ideals.
  15. Good idea, but it seems then that the Romanum Imperium would no long be broad. If you guys find it too much work, I'll be willing to help out in any way. Definitely need a real place for the English to Latin translation. I know that many guests view this site all the time. Also, it happens to be my expertise thread and where I post most so far.(well maybe not, there are other people who are good at latin on this site).
  16. Darn, I wish I could always visit Malta. Also, your pic makes a fine darn wallpaper on my desktop
  17. Oh, I hate those things, I have never been able to comprehend that type of thing clearly. You mind explaining the color coding and positioning, Cate?
  18. I see that there were oppidums beyong Hadrian's Wall, were they uninhabited after the pulling back from the Antonine Wall?
  19. Since there's been a few exchanges of ideas lately about politics, I thought I might as well create one. I don't really have much to say except that yes, Americans know they are hated around the world by many. I don't know if its the we are still a superpower mentality that drives foreign nations crazy. Nevertheless, I believe we are actually doing good for other countries through promoting democracy, security, humanitarian missions.
  20. Sadly the Middle East isn't gonna be any safer with Sharon out of the action. Who knows, terrorists are going to try to use this to their advantage.
  21. Its obvious that they are gonna make the DVD, but when will it be realeased is the question?
  22. Yeah, you mind not describing Italy that way. (Silentium is from Italy you know)
