  1. I bown down before you LACERTUS. Your superior driving skills has shock and amazed me into too subjugation. Rah Rah Lacertus, she's number 1, and if she doesn't 'speed', then no one can. (Damn I can keep going on about praising you ). Well there goes Europe for you. Your next door neighbor in the city is like barely a few feet. And the cars, my they are small.
  2. Yeah driving isn't bad, its pretty easy. BUt then there something funny, when I took drivers education, the girls were absolutely horrible drivers, not kidding at all. And when I ask other people, they even say the girls were bad drivers. I don't get it? I mean guys are more reckless, yet girls... Anyways, I hope you get your license soon before some cop pulls you over.
  3. After fruitless months of loitering around, I finally got my damn license. But only thing is I really hate is the picture taking, it makes me look so retarded, I suppose no one can escape it. Otherwise, I love driving along the lakefront at night, amazing scenery, and not to mention fracking 'peace.' I suppose they call it naturalism, BS lit. Otherwise, I'm really hating school right now. Just too much damn work, I feel depress and tired. Fortunately, my personality doesn't allow me to stay like this that long. Then there are the Olympics. They are nice and all, but really, barely anyone in the US gives a ... about it. The only things worth watching are the moguls, ice-skating(I find incredibly amazing and hard as hell), downhill skiing, and the luge.
  4. Holy Cow... I don't think I've heard something this good yet. I love reading inscriptions, they're a hobby of mines. It's fun to learn the lives of ancient people out of nowhere.
  5. uhhhhhh....uh... I don't know how to respond.
  6. Damn...they had questions like these at our Latin Certamen...I did miserably, couldn't answer any myth/Romano-religion questions...luckily we have 'myths' people on our team.
  7. By the way - you're using Ecce Romani? How far have you progressed? That was the book I used when I first started off. I still have the series. *Cough* Capitolinus is a 'Latin' teacher, he just teaches it.
  8. Are there jurors? If so, I would use stall tactics first in order to full accumulate your resources and witnesses. Oh yes, don't forget the witnesses!
  9. I have it, all I can say is that I love Digging for the Truth series on right now. But the best was 'Rome Week.' Simply amazing, especially one of the main documentaries on the Roman Legion, during Trajan/Dacian War.
  10. Their Northern Flank, well I dunno about that because of the Germanic incursions into mainly Gaul.
  11. So which province does everyone think was the most valuable/profitable/sustainable/et alia to Rome? I have my bet on Sicily because its smack-dabbed in the middle of Noster Mare, so its obvious a bunch of trade has to go through there from Anatolia, Syria, Aegyptus, and so forth. Plus it was quite relatively peaceful and easy to sustain since it was out of the political spotlight after the days of the 2nd Triumvirate. Although it was a bad recruiting ground, it was one peaceful and prosperous province.
  12. Oh jeez, I couldn't eat or drink right when I tried the Roman way, I almost choked once. Also, learning kinda makes it hard when trying to eat a hamburger or anything large, need both hands/leeway ya know. Even the way Asians eat is not that bad compared to the Romans. The Jap. way looks uncomfortable, but its really not that bad.
  13. Bah...Valentine's Day can go to Hell...that is until I get a girlfriend. Or really just a date.
  14. Please tone down a bit, its not like everyone learned Latin, the message is already understood. By the way, in the process of trying to correct people, even you got it wrong. Sure it's second declension, but you declined it wrong, also it's not The Roman Senate and of the Peopleits just The Senate and the Roman People(even that phrase can differentiate easily into The Roman Senate and the Roman People or simply The Roman Senate and People) . The right way to decline is : Romanus, -i., masculine or Romanus, -a, -um (adj. form) Singular/Plural Romanus/Romani Romani/Romanorum Romano/Romanis Romanum/Romanos Romano/Romanis
  15. Damn...You are so multi-talented (intended jealousy).
  16. took a while, but there you go http://www.unrv.com/ it is now online and live... thanks very much cheers viggen p.s. we could use a little article about horses in the roman empire for our cavalry section, anyone up for that task? I'll take on that task if I can find the right book. Do you want primarily the military aspect or the daily life/cultural aspect.
  17. Not just a linguist...a historical Romance linguist! Hmmmmmmmm...how long do ya got for me to answer your second question? heheehe Don't worry about time, just answers and I will be very thankful for you.
  18. You guys make it seem so complicated. When I was learning Latin in class, all they told me that I needed to know is that c and g are hard sounds. That the U is V when reading, and that there is absolutely no W or J. Also to add, in latin, you would only use the Z and Y for Greek derived words. See, not all that hard.
  19. Are you a linguist? Because that would be great. Can you explain how the different groups got their accents?
  20. Whoa, how did he do that? Like how many ships were there and size?
  21. Simple, look for latin words(assuming you have Roman coins) and for a head of some figure on the front side.
  22. For a moment there, I thought he was the "Jolly Green Giant."
