    Salve amici!I am quite happy that there are so many guys interested in Rome.I joined you not only because I am very proud of my Roman genes(by the way I am Romanian) but I also admire great historical figures such as Caesar,Pompey,Augustus,Cicero,Marius,Sylla,Trajan and Hadrien.I hope I will just find some of you really interested in leadership,warfare and greek and roman culture.Felix Marcellus you're the best wise guy!

    He was one of Caesar's favourite officers,and with Cassius(Longinus) he takes control of the eastern part of the empire during the civil war,including Greece.Also the triumviants Anthony and Octavian suffer defeat in a first phase of the battle of Philippi

    Actually in my country,Romania,The Legion was an interbellic fascist movement led by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu who is also my mentor.He said( translated into) English:Death is the most beautiful brides of them all.Becoming the same as the dust,our supreme goal i life.(quite freaky isn't it)

    It is pretty hard to find men like Caesar,Hannibal,Scipio nowadayas mainly because our society is no more based on wars,but be sure that a better trainde army shall always be more likely to win a battle(remember Gaugamela,Pharsalus and the war in Iraq)

    First of all Romans where a mediteranean people.Therefore,we should compare them to modern Italians and Spanish.Genetically speaking there is not much difference between the Romans,the Neo-Latin Peoples and Greeks.Their way of life was very much influenced by the sea and by warfare as warfare was the food of Rome.If there is any way of defining the ideal man in a roman's vision just think at Caesar,always ready to defend his dignitas,ambitious,warlike,vengeful,a good orator and verr intelligent.

    There were quite few world powers which practiced ethnic cleansing Most of them like the British and Roman Empire subdued other peoples through the grand force of their culture.(e.g English and celtic peoples in the British Isles,Romans and the Italian tribes).Ethnic cleansing was the idea of some nazi madmen impressed by their own nordic race.

    Brutus was indeed a great warrior,but such a foolish politician,just the kind of man people like Cicero and Cato would easily use in their own purposes.He wasn't the only one to kill Caesar however.In my opinion it is Caesar who commited 'suicide'.He may have been a shrewd politician but he was nothing in politics compared to Augustus.

    In my opinion they were both good tacticians,but i voted for Sylla just because Marius was fighting to become an important person in the Republic and was grand traitor.

    Considering that sieges are the most difficult type of battle due to the fact that they may include a final phase of a war and their numerous possible casualties but also because they imply a high level of ingenuity I added this poll.

    The best tactician was Scipio,but he knew nothing else.Overall Caesar is Da Grand Master of All Generals ever!

    We must all know that Romans were not Italic,they were not from Italy.

    It is also said the Romans were quite related to Dacians(Thracians) mostly because of their trojan heritage.There are researchers that believe thracians were trojans,also named trajans.
