  1. Lol. I may bring my dagger instead of bow & arrows, since a bow is pretty hard to carry around...and I'm not that good with it yet.
  2. Lol I'm with PP on this one. Modern electronics would be useless. So there's no point in bringing a camara, a phone, a cd player, or whatever. There's no electricity or batteries in Rome. I'd bring my longbow and arrows, and something to carry anything I got in. I'd find a map when I got there since a modern map wouldnt mean much.
  3. I have it on my comp too. I love it.

    "Amazon"

    Thanks!! That's actually three words
  5. A redwing blackbird and roses. Stretches well to fit a desktop
  6. Oh, redwing blackbirds are some of my favorite birds. I have a drawing of one but i've yet to upload it.
  7. He's so cute! Do you have redwing blackbirds around there? They are so pretty!
  8. Sure the NSA stuff might be legal under the Patriot Act...but I'm not terribly fond of the Patriot Act either. Also, it's up to parents to restrict access to *or* for their children, not the government. Really, that isn't government's place at all. they have better things to worry about. If the parents have a problem with children seeing *or*, let the parents block it. It's not that difficult to do.
  9. Use this: http: //i10.photobucket.com/albums/a133/Danmara/arcticninja2.gif (take out the space between http: and the rest. that was the only way I could get it to display the full address and not turn it into a link) With
  10. Indeed, a strange mystical rite is not at all necessary. Depending on your religious beliefs, a simple prayer may be all it takes, or some other simple act that could be proformed by yourself with no outside influence whatsoever.
  11. I really don't support any attempt by the government to get information that could possibly violate citizens' privacy without good cause...I'm almost certain they aren't really worried about child *or*...they're looking for something else. I don't want the government to know what I've been searching for in Google, even though there's no reason for my opinion other than principle. I know they are spying on us, Bush has admitted to it...(impeach the &@#%) It's things like this that make me really wish I lived in Canada. I find it terribly hypocritical and ironic that they are making our citizens fight to give other countries the same rights that they are slowly taking away from our own citizens... sorry...my little rant...I could go on but I won't.
  12. ::grins:: If I were in the Dark Ages I would be burned alive...or in the very least exorcised...honestly I don't care. It's sad that being psychic is considered "bad" in some way...I used to be very psychic but as soon as I started going to a public school that went away... I do wonder though: did the excorcism affect her any? I mean it must have in some way but how much? Did it stop the dreams? And if it did, was she glad they stopped?
  13. Thanks I love the shadow, but I do think I may have overdone it. 15 points may have been a bit much.

    Orbs!!!

Thanks I've found they make pretty cool web avatars

    Orbs!!!

These are orbs. I found a tutorial on how to make them in paint.NET. Most of the photographs used have been ones I've taken myself. One is from a stock site but I can't remember which one now.
  16. No, never green, but I did do purple...it looked good I swear. I wore a ton of black (still do. there IS a reason-it won't show the food I will inevitably spill on it) and more silver jewelery than you ever seen on one pwerson XD Thank you for your apology, I understand how things tend to come out wrong...heck I've said some pretty stupid and offensive stuff as well.
  17. I made myself a new avatar too. I learned to make orbs!!
  18. I heard the song Concrete Angel (by Martina McBride I believe) and I just fell in love with it. I got the stock photos by using YotoPhoto, lyrics by Martina McBride.
  19. I'd imagine most would be extremely proficient in the use of weapons, at least I would hope they were. But of course, there were always those who got their posts through purely political means, and were not necessarily the best fighters. Even then, it's almost certain they had some skill. It is possible to be good at strategy and such without having the best weapons skill, though I don't know how often that happened in the legions.
  20. I've just noticed that most bomb threats are fake, and by attention seekers only. It happened at my old school alot, (before I got there, but it always made the news so I knew) almost once a week they had one. Students had figured out that if they made a fake threat, they got out of school ::grumbles:: To be perfectly honest with you, I find this downright offensive, as my best friend at my school is pretty close to being "goth" or "punk" or whatever it is (in style anyway). In fact she's one of the few who actually has some respect for me. I've actually been referred to as "goth" myself, and I have no desire to hurt "you and your lot" and neither does my friend. Preparedness is good, paranoia is not. The reason people succeed in causing the disruption they obviously want to cause is because people are so quick to react in the way they do. It's a sad state of affairs today...a good number of people seem to be terrified of packing materials.
  21. Yep I'd imagine they didn't use "nails" as we see them today, but rather spikes more like RR spikes but sharper. At least for the actual crucifiction (because regular nails wouldn't be long enough, nor would they do the job). Also as a side point, I'm fairly certain they crucified through the wrists, not the palms (because palms would probably tear out).
