  1. This is what "horsetail" looks like, most of the year. The leaves and flowers are gone come summer. This is apparently a different plant from what's known as horsetail found in other parts of the world.

    Mustard

I cannot locate the plant now, unfortunately. Everything is overgrown. If I manage to find it, I'll let you know what it tastes like

    Mustard

I'm fairly certain this is wild mustard, though I don't know what it's used for or anything.
  4. Heres a close up of the flowers and distinctive...whiskers?...of horsetail.

    Horsetail

This stuff was literally growing RAMPANT at my house, I mean it was taking over this spring. Hehe useful for hair and nails (externally). Pertinax will probably be along to add more
  6. My grandfather, in tracing our family liniage made a guess that our name, (meaning "from Jilton") was referencing an old Roman town somewhere in Ireland. I don't know how true this is, lol. Although to look at certain members of our family, it makes sense. We supposedly don't have a drop of Italian blood in us, but my aunt looks far more Italian than Irish.

    Athena's Owl

This strikes me as funny. I don't know why. I guess its just odd looking lol.
  8. LOL my dad actually paid for the thing. No, it's not a phoenix...though it does sort of resemble one I guess. The belly button ring did not hurt nearly as bad as the tattoo.
  9. This is the tattoo I got while on vacation. Grandma thinks its cool. Grandad doesn't know. Mom is worried about what it will look like when I get pregnant (which I don't plan on ever doing, lol so I'm not worried about that.) Getting a tattoo there really hurts. Especially when you realize that every single skirt or pair of pants you own, is going to rub it when you sit down or move. After a week I could sit normally It may need touched up, if so, I'll get that done next time I'm at my dad's. It's still not completely healed yet (still a little bumpy) and I had to come home before I could have gotten it done.
  10. I would sing "happy birthday", but you don't want to hear that. Besides, I hate that song. Happy Birthday Spurius!
  11. Lol makes sense. and wow...a small dog?
  12. Wow. He looks like a parrot-owl or something. Quite odd looking. I can't say I've ever seen one of those. We have our share of insane robins and cardinals as well. They usually die of head injuries or broken necks.

    Peregrine

She's cute! Does look fierce tho
  14. Lol my mom used yarrow when she cut her hand badly, and when she went to get it stitched, the doctor was like "what...is this stuff??"
  15. It's not very light, but I don't think its heavy enough (or expensive enough to be copper). It is likely an alloy though.
  16. The little dagger I got in New Hope. The blade is about 10 inches long I think. BTW does anyone know what metal the hilt and scabbard are made from? It's not copper, or it'd be much heavier and worth much more than what I paid for it. I have another dagger with similar colored metal, but I don't know what it is. You can't see very well in this pic, but the guard has Pegasai and Celtic bird heads on it, with flowers going up the handle, and the scabbard had viney flowers on it.
  17. This cost $4 at a yard sale. It's solid marble, and brass.
  18. Yarrow stops bleeding, so if you're out somewhere and get hurt crush some yarrow and put it on the wound, to stop the bleeding (make sure its Yarrow though!!)
  19. Wow I thought my handwriting was bad! lol Very interesting
  20. LOL It's healed now, just peeling. Looks pretty good. Actually, I t hink it will need touched up but not badly and I don't have time right now to bother with getting it fixed.
  21. Oh, yum, cedar and clove. Lol. I love those two. They should put it in a box made from cedar, lined with cloves
  22. Cedar!! Of course!! I forgot about Cedar...gotta love that stuff. It smells so good too.
  23. Apparently, these guys actually choreographed and rehearsed this. I don't know why. But it IS really funny. Enjoy!!! Funny Dance
