    Fleabane

Actually I think the blue is simply a trick of light. It was white, maybe ever so slightly bluer than pure white. I've also seen it in pink and purple.

    Fleabane

This is apparently some sort of insect repellant.

    Sorrel

I stumbled across a whole forest full of this stuff. ::licks her lips:: this is only a tiny portion of what I found there.

    Unknown Herb

I know this is a common herb of some variety (or maybe a crossbreed). I recognize the look, smell, and taste of it as something that my mom used to have around. I can't recall what it is though.

    Peppermint

This is an...escaped...variety of peppermint. This was particularly strong (and tastey!) peppermint.

    Plantain

This is quite obviously not the tiny fried bannanas . This stuff is also great for rubbing on insect bites

  7. I found some in bloom. There's a bloom, and a closeup of it. Not exactly like I described them before, but then I hadn't seen one in a year

  8. An excellent list! Thank you!
  9. I have no idea about most stock, but my chickens go bonkers over it.

    Jewel Weed

I haven't seen it in flower yet this year (unless I missed it). I don't know when it blooms, but the recent heavy rains have messed everything up. When I see it in bloom I'll snap a picture for you. It appears kind of like snapdragon flowers, they are bright orange and red and when you squeeze them, a "tongue" comes out. They are much smaller than snapdragon flowers though.

    Nettle

There is a much smaller, "fuzzy" leafed version, which looks very similar and that stuff is NASTY. It will leave stings that burn for hours...at the slightest touch. I learned about that just before learning about jewel weed

    Sweet Clover

This is what is commonly called sweet clover. I think it's actually a type of sorrel. And it really is not very sweet

    Horsetail

The leaf tastes a bit fruity, but with a definite garlic aftertaste. However that particular leaf was old and yellowish and starting to die, because all the leaves were falling off at this point.

    Jewel Weed

This stuff is great for insect bites, nettle stings, and various and assorted poison ivy/oak/etc. It has a gooey stuff inside the stem that is great for skin irritations. Grows in wet marshy areas (often found in the same areas as nettle and mosquitos, thankfully)

    Nettle

This is what is commonly known as "horseitch" or a close relative of it. Yes, I am holding it. I don't know if this stuff loses its ability to sting in certain conditions (it WAS after heavy rains that this picture was taken) or if I have grown immune to it after being exposed to it enough, but believe me it CAN sting. And raise itchy red welts that last for hours at least. Seems to grow in wet, marshy areas. I have a whole bank of it at my house.

  16. PURPLE FLOWERING "horsetail". As far as I know this is not also known as horsetail. I have no idea what it is actually, none at all. It does have the same structure though!

  17. What I never understood, was the REASON for the restrictions. I mean, alot of it just didn't make sense. There were many more restrictions than those mentioned here, for instance the flammen dialis could not look upon raw meat or an open wound, and I believe he also was not permitted to mention the "name" of raw meat either. He also had to sleep in a special bed with clay at the bottom of it, and he could not spend three nights in a row away from that bed. His wife also had restrictions, for instance she could not climb more than three stairs. If a prisoner in shackles came into the home of the flammen dialis, the shackles were to be cut off and lifted up through the...skylight (atrium?) and thrown from the roof.
  18. I tried Firefox, I tried IE, same thing. I cleared cookies AND cache and still the same problem. Others have the same problem too, though many on the forum didn't as of the last time I was in the chat. I really do think at this point that it is the server or the forum, and not my computer, so there's really absolutely nothing I can do to fix it.
  19. Thanks, I finally managed to get Spybot. It caught some things, but not the particular problem. I'll check the link later when I have a bit more time. My friend who's a programmer of sorts thinks it might be a problem with the server, but because of firewalls and such most people don't experience the problem. As he put it "you could have half of something".
  20. Ok, I tried going to the site using a slightly different address, and I got this information: Not Found The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server. Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/2.0.53 (Mandrakelinux/PREFORK-9mdk) mod_ssl/2.0.53 OpenSSL/0.9.7e PHP/4.3.10 mod_perl/1.999.21 Perl/v5.8.6 Server at www.tanoti.org Port 80 I saved it lol. It's "Tanoti Enterprises Homepage". Someone else has a problem with this site as well, but not on his main computer. Only on his laptop I also tried restoring back to Tuesday, running antivirus and adaware scans. This did not word either. Gah. I'll look into Spybot.
  21. Does someone know what to do about a webpage that...isn't the webpage it's supposed to be? I tried to go on a forum today, and it came up with the correct address in the address bar, but the wrong page. Now, only one other person has this problem. I was told that the page has been "hijacked" by something on my computer. I have tried three programs: Adaware SE, Norton Internet Security, and Hijack This! and none of them managed to locate the problem. Other than doing a system restore (which I don't want to do as it will erase everything on my comp and I don't want to go through setting up again) or switching to Linux (that one was my friend's idea) does anyone know what I can do? I'm not too worried about the particular forum, but if it gets one of my two forums which I own, or the one I admin, I'm going to be SERIOUSLY upset. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. I just tried the right side draw with my cutlass. Not the same as a gladius I know, I think the blade is actually longer. But it was surprisingly easy. I had no idea how easy it would be
  23. McJilton, sometimes misspelled McGilton.
  24. There are two now. I stuck another one up It's as close as I could get, and a little blurry but I tried to sharpen it.
  25. This is the "closest up" image I have of the flower heads. Sorry it's not very clear. I don't think there are any blooms left for me to get a better pic
