    Torsion Weapon

oh I see. I thought they were permenantly in there. Did they change them after every shot?
  2. Why can't you grip it palm facing up? Hands too big?
  3. I had believed that the universe itself was infinite. It never occurred to me that there were "edges". lol I would consider what was beyond the universe to still be part of the universe, if that makes sense.

    Architectus

Nice solid looking square. I recognize the compass, plumb bob and what looks like a scale, what are the other things?

    Torsion Weapon

What was olive oil doing in the ropes? Was it used as a conditioner? Tension indicator? Both? I love these things

    Contubernium

Nice! Pertinax I love your educational (and entertaining!) photographs... I wish there were some of these things around here. We have PowWows but no Romans

    Crashed!

You know, I don't usually like 3D renders, but this is actually pretty cool!! Nice work!

    Sun Chariot

Still not sure where/how to hang this. It's a mixed media collage. If I could do it over, I'd cut out around the horses feet and the wheels of the chariot. I think that would make a world of difference, but I didn't know that I'd have time to do it until it was too late to go back and do it. My teacher thought this was Zeus

    Retairus

I remember saying long ago that I'd post these, well, finally, here they are. Not my favorite piece of artwork, this was done with scratchboard. If you have never used scratchboard, it can be a very difficult medium to work with. This is my first attempt with it. It's basically like reverse pen and ink.

    LEG II on parade

Lol the guy in front looks like he's going to cry!! Centurions are nasty... :( Do I detect armor from Museum Replicas? Looks like it...(lol I have studied that catalogue too many times )

    Amputation knives

Hard to believe those could cut through bone. Of course, anything is better than the more modern way of doing it with a saw that put bone chips everywhere. And considering limbs have been successfully amputated with pocket knives, I guess those would work lol.

    Nasty leg wound

Ah I see. I'd heard it was good for burns, but I didn't know about its uses on actual open wounds.

    Nasty leg wound

    Oh I see. Why honey?
  14. oo, that makes me hurt just LOOKING at it. >.< What's the little brass thing for?

    Medicus medicines

OOO, I'd love to have that collection. Or at least, the box it comes in

    Nasty leg wound

Eww man. Is that a real person's leg? It looks rather oddly shaped.
  17. Lol I recently read a book like that. There were so many typos....I really don't think it was edited....
  18. The placebo effect does make sense actually. It's purely psychological. They BELIEVE that they are getting morphine, and so their brain creates the same effect as if they were actually getting morphine. The human mind is incredible. There are edges on the universe? Well then, what's beyond that?
  19. LOL that goes to show how paranoid people are these days. It's rediculous.
  20. ::grins:: she's a golden eagle isn't she? I love goldens. I'm going to do a pic of one at some point.
  21. Is that a type of clamatis? I tried to grow one of those. It never bloomed

    Fleabane

Oh I see. Well if I find some of that I'll take a pic for you! For the most part all I've seen around here is the white. I always thought that the different colors were due to different minerals in the soil...certain plants grow different colors in different places (for example "blue eyed grass" is often magenta! I have pictures of both the blue and magenta varieties I'll post them later)

    Fleabane

Is canadian the pinkish purple I've seen? This really does repel insects. I had some pesky flies buzzing around my head until I stuck some of this in my hair

    Plantain

You know, it really never occurred to me to eat the stuff
