  1. haha cool! I was never good at anagrams. I can't for the life of me get the links to work right now. Must be my ISP acting up again...
  2. I see. To the modern American mind, the term Murex is reminiscent of laundry detergent
  3. Um...there is a Jerry Springer opera now? Horror of horrors! Hope you feel better soon. Drink chamomile tea and sleep
  4. ymklejcntloi ymlklejecntloie See what you can make of that mess
  5. haha actually, there is only one local ISP so I'm stuck
  6. Really? To me it kind of looked like a bannanna with a hairy leg. No offense or anything but really, it did Don't eagles' legs bend the other way?
  7. SyncDRAM is not bad... lol I just recently had modem issues as well. All better now
  8. just an update, my new modem arrived today and all is going well. I'm just glad I didn't lose my hard drive again.
  9. Haha I was wondering the exact same thing. It looks like something's foot. I'm not sure though.
  10. I'm actually giving gateway another chance as they are sending me a new modem ASAP, I'll see how that works whilst squirreling away cash for a new and better PC (the kind I've always actually wanted, not the kind I could get from Daddy-O, whom was very generous but had no clue what I needed)
  11. Let me tell you the story of my lemon. My old computer breaks after a long life of being nothing but trouble. So my dad buys me a brand new one. Great! Of course, it is of the same make as my old one. So, six months after I get it, it requires a new motherboard AND hard drive. Was fixed for free. Now, last night, I try to get online, and as soon as I try to connect to the internet, the thing restarts. What the heck! I've never even heard of that! Well anyway, I'll call the company when I get time, and maybe they'll fix it again for free. The warrenty expires the first of next month. But in the meantime, I'm buying a Dell. Its the kind I wanted anyway. I'll keep the lemon as a spare.
  12. Lol have fun...AP chem and AP english combined nearly killed me this past year. I passed both though.
  13. True, but I already had other plans and reasons that those plans could not wait to long I've had these plans for several years, and I hope they won't fall thru at the last minute.
  14. I didn't know what I wanted to do either really, and I put off college until I figure it out. I'm glad I did, because now I realize that if I had gone to RIT like I had originally wanted to and studied there, I wouldn't have been happy because my interests changed.
  15. Oh, I know. And Terri doesn't even know according to one source...how aweful! ::cries::
  16. This saddens me greatly, as Steve is one of very few celebrities I ever actually gave a flying fig about. Steve Irwin the Croc Hunter died when a stingray's barb went through his chest. http://au.news.yahoo.com/060904/23/10ebv.html http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20349888-2,00.html
  17. I agree. I also think that alot of it has to do with the time period. The things Caldrail mentioned have been present throughout the history of the Roman legions and through other armies as well, but I think that in later times the situation was much worse. there was a difference between someone who believed in fighting for Rome and someone who is doing it only to gain political standing or because it is "expected of them". It is my belief that in the later part of the empire there were less who fought because they loved Rome and more who fought because they had to.
  18. I don't think that a textual resource is *necessarily* any more reliable than a carefully chosen website. Alot of teachers and others write off websites because books are supposed to be more reliable (I once had a project that required a certain number of books from a particular library ) however anyone can publish anything they want in book format, if they can find a publisher or publish it themselves. Publishers often edit the information contained in their books, but not always, as is evidenced by some of the bullocks found in many books today.

    Cheese!

This all looks DELICIOUS!! I love cheese, as long as it isn't the really stinky kind or extremely strong tasting.
